About Science Minded

Founded in San Diego by an elementary Science and STEM teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience, Science-Minded offers a unique program designed to cultivate a deep love for science in young learners.

We understand that science and STEM are often squeezed between other subjects in traditional elementary settings, leading to inconsistent learning and a lack of foundational understanding. At Science-Minded, we go beyond simply covering California standards. Our curriculum, featuring more than 10 distinct units offered in flexible 6-week sessions, is crafted to transform your child into a young scientist.

Through engaging, hands-on learning, we empower students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and collaborate effectively. Our goal is to equip them with the essential skills and mindset of a scientist. Whether your child attends one, two, or three sessions a week, they will build a strong scientific foundation. Upon completing a session, new and different units become available, ensuring continuous growth and exploration.

By the time your child completes the Science-Minded curriculum, they will not only be well-prepared for middle school science but will also have developed a genuine passion for all things Science and STEM.
